Upon  graduation  with a  degree in  Management  Information  Systems  from the  University  of Florida, IBS founder Terry Hedden started his career with Ernst & Young’s management consulting practice in Atlanta.  During his tenure with E&Y, Terry’s primary responsibilities included project management, Shared Services Center (SSC) Creation, departmental outsourcing, IT Strategy Development, Oracle ERP implementation and Electronic Commerce strategy.  After leaving Ernst & Young, Terry joined Epiphany, a leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software provider as an executive in their services organization.  Terry then joined Lectra, the leading technology solution provider in the fashion industry as the Director of IT for North American Operations and was quickly promoted to lead the consulting division and business development for two major products for North America.  Armed with a business plan, seed capital and a desire to return to Tampa Bay, Terry started Infinity Business Systems in the fall of 2003.

In 2004, the Tampa Bay Business Journal selected Terry as a member the annual “Top 30 Under 30” Class that recognizes the top 30 professionals under the age of 30 in the Tampa Bay area.  While operating IBS, Terry completed his Executive MBA from the University of Florida, graduating with highest honors in the spring of 2005.

Terry is also an active member of C12, a group of 12 Christian executives focused on keeping Biblical perspectives and Christian values ingrained in the culture of their businesses.

Upon graduation with a degree in Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology, IBS co-founder Betsy Hedden started her career with AG Edwards in the Investment Banking group. After a successful tenure with AG Edwards, Betsy joined the Public Sector Investment Banking group at Raymond James where she provided investment banking expertise to clients throughout Florida. In these roles, Betsy has assisted with underwriting and capitalizing multi-million and multi-billion dollar initiatives, financial strategy and business planning. Betsy offered her expertise in financial management and investment banking as a founding member of Infinity Business Systems in the fall of 2003. Betsy remains an active member of the Infinity Business Systems team in the Finance and Administration organization serving as the President. She plays a major role in IBS as the President of the organization offering Financial Analysis, Budgeting, Capital Management and leads the Mergers and Acquisitions effort for our firm.

In 2007, the Tampa Bay Business Journal selected Betsy as a finalist in the Business Woman of the Year in the Financial Services category.

Ted brings over 25 years of experience with technology companies at all levels of operations management. He started as an applications engineer for a major digital controls company and worked his way up to the Managing Director of a $70M P&L. Along the way he had management assignments in Australia and the Middle East. With 17 years of experience at Fortune 500 companies, Ted is well grounded in the processes and procedures necessary for efficient operations. He has implemented quality programs such as 6 Sigma, QIP, and CMMI, as well as lead the first service organization in the US to an ISO-9001 certification.

Ted has spend the last 8 years with 3 different Pre IPO Software and Service companies leading them from 30 personnel up to 200 personnel. Implementing  systems such as CRM, (Customer Relationship Management) HR, (Human Resource), PSA,(Professional Services Automation), SFA,(Sales Force Automation), and PMO (Project Management Office), these systems, coupled with documented process and procedures, have lead to major growth while maintaining  a profitable position for the company.

In his spare time, Ted has been a part time instructor at a number of colleges teaching management and Technology courses. He presently is a certified instructor for the University of Phoenix teaching online courses.

Ted has a BSIT from Northeastern University in Boston and an MBA from Bryant University in Rhode Island. Ted has two grown sons and lives in Tampa with his wife. He is an avid tennis player and enjoys cooking.

Charlie Perez is the General Manager of Infinity Business Systems' Atlanta operations where he is responsible for regional sales and operations for the state of Georgia. Charlie has over 20 years of experience in the IT profession. Prior to joining IBS, Charlie was the VP of Professional Services for Iron Data Solutions where he was responsible for managing outsourced IT projects for clients as well as managing internal IT initiatives. Prior to his tenure at Iron Data, Charlie performed as a leader in the consulting businesses of Cap Gemini, Ernst & Young and KPMG where he was part of the executive teams responsible for selling IT services and managing projects. During his tenure with these consulting firms, he gained extensive experience working with clients to meet their technology needs in the areas of Applications Development, IT Strategy and Governance, Technology Integration, Business Process Reengineering, Mergers and Acquisitions and other strategic IT initiatives in Fortune 100 organizations.

Charlie graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Management Information Systems.

Laurie offers over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance.  After graduating from Chamberlain High School, she completed her BS degree in Accounting from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Upon returning to Tampa, Laurie began her career as an intern for a local CPA firm.  Having had the opportunity to work for companies in many differing markets, with a focus on IT, she is uniquely qualified for handling all financial challenges she faces.  Laurie’s ambition and determination took her from staff accountant to Director of Finance.

In her previous position as Director of Finance, Laurie developed and implemented new financial and operational strategies that positioned the company for continued growth.  She successfully refinanced the company’s debt, raised equity, and restructured its financial reporting system.  Additionally, Laurie oversaw the Purchasing, Inventory Control, and the Customer Service departments.

Laurie is married and has four children.  She is an avid golfer and a member of the Florida Women’s State Golf Association.  She is on the board of directors for the Gulf Coast Youth Choirs.  She enjoys her involvement with youth and enjoyed her position as a youth pastor.  

Tom Beckman is the Client Network Operations Manager and brings over 13 years of IT experience to IBS.  Prior to joining the firm in 2005, he ran a successful consulting firm specializing in IT training and support strategies for corporations such as Raytheon, Hospital Corporation of America and Kellogg’s.  Prior to Tom’s IT career, he worked on Wall Street for Dean Witter Reynolds as an account executive and later as a Biotechnology market analyst for Donald & Co Securities.

Tom developed his love for the Tampa Bay Area while attending USF with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Business Management.  He joined IBS as a member of the remote support team while Managed IT Services was still in the conceptual stages.  He quickly distinguished himself as a leader of this project.  His experience in supporting customers and knowing their needs from a training perspective allowed him to provide significant input into the ultimate final product.

When he’s not spending time with his 2 children, Tom’s hobbies include competitive shooting.
